Building a Team of Young Leaders Today for the Texas of Tomorrow
Background: Since the beginning of her public service, Senator Shapiro has recognized that the future of Texas lies in the hands of its youth. As a Young Texas Leader who cares deeply about the future of the Great State of Texas, we invite you to join Florence Shapiro’s U.S. Senate Exploratory Committee as a member of “Shapiro All Stars.”
Mission: To identify, recruit, and engage Young Texas Leaders to play a pivotal role in addressing the issues and challenges facing Texas now and in the future.
Shapiro All Stars Objectives:
- To assemble a statewide organization of Young Texas Leaders able to organize and advocate for their communities
- To engage in the political process while identifying and providing solutions to specific issues that will help shape the future for ourselves, and future generations
- To provide the State with leadership, vision, and common sense solutions
Shapiro All Stars Member Responsibilities:
- Activate your social network for Senator Shapiro through voter registration, fundraising, social events, and blogging.
- Organize and participate in grassroots activities for Senator Shapiro including political rallies, block walks, work groups, coffees with Senator Shapiro, and phone banking.
- Form opinions and proposed solutions for the issues of importance in your community.
- Ensure that the campaign is aware of local events and activities in your area.
Shapiro All Stars Other Activities:
Get involved in one of the Shapiro All Stars committees focusing on New Media, Social Networking, and GOTV/Grassroots strategy, Policy/Platform, Press.
As a member of Shapiro All Stars, you will receive:
- an invitation to participate in regular leadership calls with Senator Shapiro
- an invitation to participate in Senator Shapiro’s Annual Leadership Conference
- an invitation to all Senator Shapiro events which are held in your area and other key activities
- an opportunity to provide common sense leadership and solutions for your community and state
